Hollis Old Home Days Pottery DemonstrationSome of the ways Warm Stone Studio makes a difference are . . .

Warm Stone Studio has for several years done pottery demonstrations at the Hollis Old Home Days event.  We hope to continue that tradition giving the local community an opportunity to see in person the beauty of creating in clay.

Warm Stone Studio is happy to do pottery demonstrations for children's and teen's community groups such as Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and, Boy & Girls Club of America.  Giving younger people an opportunity to experience and see how the ceramic process works gives them a chance to see how art can be part of daily life and not just a painting in a museum.  If you have a group that would be interested in a pottery demonstration and tour of the studio please call or email Leslie at the studio.

Empty Bowls Party scheduled for October 2005 -  Warm Stone Studio invites area potters to an afternoon of making bowls destined for the 2006 Empty Bowls annual benefit for the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter (www.nsks.org).  This very worthy event raises much needed funds NSK&S.   All pottery materials to be provided by Warm Stone Studio.  For more information please call or email Leslie at the studio.

Grumman Fly In

In February we hosted a gathering of New England pilots from the American Yankee Association or AYA.  Though brave enough to defy death by flying through the air at great speeds, somehow a little clay frightened many of these intrepid souls.  There were a few notable exceptions (hoorah Peter & Barbara . . . your pots are ready to be glazed!) and a good time was had by all anyway.
